This little fish is one of a kind! Its handcrafted by the Shipibo people of Peru.
Shipibo designs are the materialization of the visions and language of the Amazonian people interpreted through the ritual of Ayahuasca. The intricate patterns are painted with living dyes derived from the forest soil and the bark of ancient trees. Each piece expresses Shipibo cultural beliefs and their connection to nature and energy through such symbols as the Ayahuasca flower, the teeth of the piranha, the path of the anaconda, and the mother's womb.
