Cecilia Carrion is a Peruvian visual artist living in France. She define this creative stage by the use of deep, vibrant ultramarine blue, a color that historically evoke the infinite and the sacred. Through linography, she gives life to women and girls in a state of absolute introspection. Their closed eyes are not a sign of absence, but rather of full presence in their inner world.
Each carving in linoleum is a search for balance. The integration of nature - hummingbirds, flowers, and branches - act as an extension of the thoughts of the subjects, creating an atmosphere of serenity and organic connection.
