“In my ceramic work, I am drawn to explore texture, pattern, color, and form—and the interplay between them.  The porcelain I use is smooth and delicate, yet finicky by nature.  It has the ability to show every mark made—whether intentional or not.  I choose to work in porcelain for its ability to accentuate my work unlike any other clay.  Pairing it with ceramic stains and translucent glazes, it allows me to highlight the detailed surfaces I am so fond of creating.”
