Collection: Iskonawa ~ Perú ~ Neyra Perez Artist
Neyra Perez is a master artist from the Iskonawa indigenous group in the central Peruvian Amazon. She is a third generation artist and leader of a collective of 15 women artisans from her community. Neyra's designs represent her ethnicity and cosmology as well as Ayahuasca visions. The zigzag patterns represent the Cone Mountain, which is considered sacred and provides life, abundance, protection, and peace. Her ancestors painted these designs on their bodies, arrows, and drums. Neyra has continued the tradition painting her distinctive and stunning textiles.
