Collection: Erica Collins - New Mexico

Erica Collins is a printmaker whose work is inspired by the landscapes and wildlife of two distinct regions: the lush tropical forests and sea life of Hawai’i, and the rugged mesas and desert animals of the Southwest. Living in Hawai’i sparked a passion for creating woodcut prints, as the flowing lines and exotic shapes of the islands filled her with inspiration.

Now based in the Southwest, her work reflects the ancient junipers, desert animals, and vast landscapes of the region. The slow, deliberate process of carving each block, inking, and pulling prints one at a time is deeply satisfying, capturing the essence of both places in every piece.

"Each print is a reflection of my connection to the natural world, from the islands to the desert, and the joy of creating something by hand." - Erica Collins
