Collection: Iskonawa ~ Perú ~ Neyra Perez Artist

Neyra Perez is a master artist from the Iskonawa indigenous group in the central Peruvian Amazon. A third-generation artist, she leads a collective of 15 women artisans from her community. Neyra’s designs embody her ethnicity, cosmology, and Ayahuasca visions, with zigzag patterns symbolizing the sacred Cone Mountain, which represents life, abundance, protection, and peace.

These patterns were traditionally painted by her ancestors on their bodies, arrows, and drums. Neyra has continued this tradition by painting her stunning textiles, carrying forward the legacy of her people’s rich cultural heritage.

"Through my art, I honor the sacred symbols of my ancestors and continue to share our culture and cosmology with the world." - Neyra Perez
