This vintage poncho was handmade from sheep wool in the Andes Mountains of Cusco, Peru. It was hand woven on a waist loom and has earned a unique patina from years of use. The colors come from vegetable dyes and the patterns tell the story of the weaver’s culture, community, and dreams. The different shades of brown represent the natural variation in color of the sheep’s wool and are not dyed.
