This vintage poncho was handmade from alpaca wool in the Andes Mountains of Cusco, Peru. It was hand woven on a waist loom and has earned a unique patina from years of use. The patterns tell the story of the weaver’s culture, community, and dreams. The different colors represent the natural variation in color of the alpaca’s wool and are not dyed. Alpaca wool is incredibly soft and insulating.
