A Real pressed plant and botanical specimen. Inspired by herbarium specimens, it is an artistic presentation of Baby Aster, also called Heath-leaved chaetopappa (Chaetopappa ericoides}, a small, perennial wildflower with narrow, heath-like leaves and daisy-like white flowers with yellow centers. It blooms from spring through summer in dry plains, prairies, and sandy or rocky soils across the southwestern United States. This hardy plant attracts native bees and other pollinators, contributing to the biodiversity and resilience of arid and semi-arid ecosystems.

The plant is mounted on acid-free, high-quality (320 gsm), watercolor paper handmade in India. A collection label is also included with the specimen scientific name, common name, family name, location and date collected.

 Collected: June 10, 2024
