Ancient fable of the Hummingbird
Humming, tiny-bird, buzzz!, hummingbird, resurrected bird, hummer.
Performing acrobatic feats: it plunges, swings,
loving and spending the night, if it wants to, in the air. Hold in the air!
Addict to sweeties. Its lanky and sharp beak licks the sweetness of the hibiscous and other ambrosia.
Beak in chest it sleeps during winter on a young stem, and in Spring it flues like a prodigy up the skies:
I am gone but still there!
Merciful ladies resurrect the hummer by warming it in the bosom.
Oh, heart, would you become a hummingbird!
