A bud vase inspired by the beauty of the morning sunrise, and the opportunity that it brings each day to begin anew. A design of repeated arcs representing the sun was made by stamping into the clay, followed by applying a slip to create the rays shining upward.
The textured base is highlighted with a ceramic stain, a lovely contrast with the glossy glaze above.
