Plant Pressing & Botanical Art with Christina M. Selby - Eufloria Botanic Art

Join us for our September Building Community Through Craft workshop with Christina M. Selby of Eufloria Botanic Art.

Spend the afternoon working with the last flowers of the season and native grasses while learning the art of plant pressing and creating an artful herbarium of your own. Christina will guide you through pressing, composition, mounting, and specimen labeling, sharing her approach to preserving and creating with botanicals.

During the workshop, you’ll create two mounted botanical designs using Christina’s pre-pressed flowers and prepare flowers to take home and open in three weeks.

This intimate, hands-on workshop is beginner-friendly, with no previous experience necessary. All materials are included.

Workshop Details:

• 3:30–5:30 PM
• $100 per person
• Optional: Bring a large heavy book from home to use as a press weight during the workshop.

About the Artist

Christina M. Selby is the artist behind Eufloria Botanic Art. With a background in ecology and a deep connection to the landscapes of the Southwest, Christina works with real pressed plants and flowers to create botanical art inspired by the natural world.

Her work brings together art and nature, preserving the details of each plant while inviting us to slow down and notice what is growing around us.
