These utensils are made by a family of master wood carvers in Ayacucho, Peru. They harvest and use "unka", a shrub-like tree endemic to the Andes that is highly prized for its hard, almost white wood that has no taste or smell. The Ciprian family is well-known for their highly detailed carvings and finely designed utensils that are made by hand.
Care Instructions: The utensils can be boiled for a few minutes to protect them against stains. They can be maintained by adding a neutral oil such as mineral oil but not olive or vegetable oil.
These serving utensils have a beautiful monstera leaf and flower design and measure approximately 12 inches long. They can be purchased as a set or individually.
