There are a few different ways to clean your rug. Here are few:

Shake out your rug outside. Shake it vigorously to dislodge dust, dirt, hairs etc. Vacuum  both sides of the rug. 

Spot cleaning:  usd dish soap or a vinegar- based cleaning solution. Wool is very absorbent, so you don't want to get too we with washing.
