Screenprinted utility jacket with buttons
Product Details
Utility jacket designed in France upcycled with powerful images screenprinted by Amapolay Collective in Lima, Peru.
Amapolay uses screen printing as a platform to elevate the struggles of Latin America's indigenous communities and resistance to colonialism. Their work draws on the popular art of Lima's working class neighborhoods and is heavily influenced by the painting style and symbology brought by Andean and Amazonian migrants. The juxtaposition of traditional motifs within urban settings is commentary and celebration of Peru's multicultural heritage, interpreted in their signature electric color.
