Collection: Chacon Huari, Cusco, Perú

Edson Chacón is a Peruvian visual artist from Cusco, whose work explores contemporary mythology through a surreal and dreamlike style. His art combines social critique with a personal aesthetic, often portraying themes of migration, transformation, and the pursuit of dreams.

In his first solo exhibition, Between Dreams and Anecdotes, at the Cuzco Museum of Contemporary Art, Chacón focused on the journey of travelers and those who leave their comfort zones in search of purpose. His illustrations depict symbolic horizons and directions of travel, with figures in boats, ships, and bicycles, honoring the courage of those who followed their dreams despite the obstacles.

"Through my work, I aim to pay tribute to the brave souls who embark on journeys in search of something greater, whether it be a dream, a goal, or a new beginning." - Chacon Huari
