Weaving by Shiri - New Mexico

I started weaving soon after moving to northern New Mexico.  What started as a “dare” to myself turned out to be my passion.

My love for vintage denim jackets and weaving drove me to create a denim jackets collection. By replacing the back panel of the jacket with my handwoven piece, I’m able to maintain the comfort and overall feel of a denim jacket. As each jacket is unique, so is my choice of colors and my Rio Grande inspired design.

I use 100% wool yarn and as an aspiring dyer, I incorporate many of my own dyed “creations” in my weavings.
